Bridge L

2017, Flanders (BE)

Over a pond in a park reaches this small bridge. It gently leans out from the bank and stretches over the water on its high, lean legs of steel. A friendly set of stairs leads the visitor from the castle to the adjacent pavilion. A subtle curve stears the user.

The care for bringing design and buildability together becomes clear when looking at the detailing. All the engineering drawings were done in house by the architects.
